Having practiced law for over 17 years in federal and local governments and in private practice, Veronica E. Meade launched her solo career in January 2019 as the Managing Member of V. Meade Law, PLLC, concentrating in wills and estates, eminent domain, employment, contracts, landlord tenant, and traffic matters.
Veronica obtained a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center (Washington, DC) and a Bachelor of Architecture, with highest honors, from Tuskegee University (Tuskegee, AL). She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
Veronica is enjoying her time as a member of the Peninsula Bar Association (Former President and Secretary), Hampton Bar Association (Secretary), and the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association. Additionally, she has served as a member of the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Committee for eight years and is the current Vice Chair of the First District Subcommittee. She is a former officer of the Newport News Bar Association.
An avid proponent of the scripture, to whom much is given, much is required, Veronica is an active member of the Hampton Roads (formerly, Tidewater) Tuskegee Alumni Club since 2004 (former President, Chair of the Scholarship Committee, and Secretary), a member of the Northeastern Region of the Tuskegee National Alumni Association (Second Assistant Regional Director), as well as various other boards. Veronica was recognized as the Alumni of the Year by the Tidewater Tuskegee Alumni Club (2014) and received the Vivian C. Mason Award, Urban League of Hampton Roads, Inc. for community service in 2011.
A Hampton resident, Veronica loves reading, writing (especially poetry), exercising, and knitting.
